President’s Day weekend getaway.

Brent had a 4 day weekend, so we deiced to go to the RV park not far from our home.  We had to wait for Mackenzie to get out of pre school.  We picked her up, switched out the car seat to the truck and loaded the dogs.  Since the back seat is split 80/20 we flip the 80% up and the dog bed is there.  Normally the dogs can get in the 20% seat and look out.  Since Mackenzie was in her car seat, Lilly the smaller dog couldn’t see out…Well she fixed that.

She jumped up in Kenzie’s lap to see out.  Kenz thought it was so funny.

We had 100% chance of rain that day…so it was still raining.  Brent was great..he had us stay in the truck while he set up everything.  All we had to do was run from the truck to the camper.  Then let the slides out, which Mackenzie things is so much fun to sit on the sofa while the slide goes out.

It rained most of the night, Kenz was going home later that evening, but was coming back on Sunday night to spend the night.  On Friday night we baked a cake.

She was proud of her cake….

I received some results back from my cholesterol test, it is high....seeing all that butter in the picture might be part of the reason.

We had a nice relaxing weekend, they are just too short.  Someday we can stay forever.

You have to spend money to make money..right??

I need to blog more often, I have had a heck of a time..trying to remember how to use Live Writer.  I think I have it this time.

We have always heard you have to spend money to make money.  We just finished installing new flooring in a big area of our home.  We just installed new flooring in a big part of our home..hoping it pays off when we sell.

.

We are going to get the 5th wheel from storage tonight.  Going to go camping this weekend.  Brent has Friday and Monday off.  Will be nice to get away.

January is almost over

Sure is hard to believe that it is 2010 and the first month is 3/4 of the way gone.  Seems we were just out of town for Christmas.  The weather has been chilly here in Florida.  Hoping for some warm weather soon.

Have been looking at the calendar and planning some camping weekends.  In February we are going over presidents day weekend.  Brent has a 4 day weekend.  He is calling it a working trip.  Wants to do a little maintenance on the rig.  Hope he has good weather for that.  We are planning a trip to the Key West in April..celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.  Sure doesn’t seem like it has been 25 years.

We also are in the middle of getting new floors in the major part of our house.  For now we are living on concrete.  The floors came in, but they said they looked like the pallet had been dumped…so they ordered another shipment.  Hopefully will arrive today so it can acclimate over the weekend…then start installing.

I am trying out windows live writer and hoping pictures are easier to put on here.  Anyone that has advice on using this program your input is welcome.

This is a picture of Lilly in Illinois over Christmas…she stayed in front of the electric heater.  She is definitely a Floridian dog.

I am going to try and bore you all more often.  AS of now, I don’t lead a very interesting life.  Just normal day to day stuff.  Still dreaming of selling the house and living in the RV.

Until next time……….

Been a long time

Seems I don't have much to share that would be of any interest to anyone.

We did go camping for 7 nights at a campground about 20 miles from our home. Brent continued to go to work each day. It worked out well. It was chilly a few nights...in the 40's. That is cold for Florida. We are heading to Southern Illinois for Christmas, so it gave me a clearer idea of what type of warm clothes I will need.

Since I watch Mackenzie during the week, she stayed with us a few nights. She had to pose at the entrance of the RV park.

Thanksgiving dinner turned out great.

Brent has went back and forth on our truck for sometime. This past weekend he finally decided to trade in our 07 2500 for a gently used 08 3500. We also traded in another vehicle we had in the garage. So we did ok with all the trading. Getting rid of the car was just another downsizing thing marked off of our list. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are packing to head north in a few days. I hope we can stay warm.

Happy Holidays to all.

Looking forward to this week.

So excited, the plans were to leave Wednesday evening and set up in the dark, camp thru Sunday. We made a slight change and are now camping Sunday to Sunday. We are not going far from home, so Brent can go back and forth to work M-T-W. Mackenzie is going to stay with us Monday and Tuesday night, she is so excited.

This will be a great Thanksgiving..hoping the weather cooperates.

More to come.

Yard Sale

We had a 2 day yard sale this past Friday and Saturday. We made about $180.00, got rid of lots of junk. We had wonderful weather. Going to donate the left overs. I am sure there will be more stuff by spring, for another sale.

Looking forward to going camping over Thanksgiving.

Small Update

We survived our weekend in Daytona for Biketoberfest. I didn't take as many pictures as I normally do at these things.

Here we are at the campground, Kona is guarding the bikes.
Kona and Lilly enjoying being outside, they just love camping.
This is my besties and I. The guys are looking at the bikes at the Rat Hole Bike Show. Then we went shopping, at a Harley Davidson outlet..yippeee!

Every day I go through a different part of the house and reorganize stuff. Sometimes it goes into the yard sale room, some gets filed into the trash. We are moving at a snails pace, but at least we are getting organized.

I love reading about all the other people that are in transition and the ones that are on the road.

Keep the blogs coming.
